Parenting Winners: A Parenting Seminar by Peter Tan Chi & Francis Kong
Becoming a parent is no easy task – this is something that unmarried teachers and mentors can attest to. Even if one is simply acting as a second parent, there is already so much at stake when a person plays a huge role in shaping the character of a child. This is a responsibility that has to be taken wholeheartedly and seriously.
To shed light on this business of parenting, two of our country’s top motivational speakers, Peter Tan-Chi of CCF and author and broadcaster Francis Kong, will share their advice and wise words for parents and parent-figures.
On December 4, 2010 Kagay-anons will get the chance to listen to these famous motivational speakers live. Entitled Parenting Winners, the seminar is all about teaching children how to become winners in their own right. It will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Limketkai Mall Atrium. Parents, newlyweds, teachers and mentors are welcome to attend the event. This is a great opportunity to listen to Peter Tan Chi and Francis Kong and gather insights on how to become effective mentors, guides and cheerleaders to children.
About the Speakers
Peter Tan-Chi and Francis Kong are veteran speakers on issues of family, faith, business and entrepreneurship, leadership, faith, writing and speaking, and life in general. They have a wide following throughout the country and among Filipinos abroad.
Peter Tan-Chi is the Senior Pastor and the founder of Christ’s Commission Fellowship. CCF is an evangelical church movement set on a mission “to make Christ-committed followers who will make Christ-committed followers”. Leading CCF in its vision of gathering followers of Jesus Christ has made Pastor Tan-Chi a frequent speaker for seminars and recollections. His inspirational talks have been quoted left and right by his audiences and CCF members. He is a very good and motivating speaker whose passion for his life’s work is very evident. One can even say that CCF’s members got their zeal and passion from him.
Francis Kong is a multi-awarded and highly respected personality in the field of public speaking. His accomplishments are noteworthy and the list is quite lengthy. Kong is a columnist for the Business Page section of the Philippine Star. His articles are published in the paper every Sunday and Saturday. He appears every Thursday in the early morning show Umagang Kay Ganda on ABS_CBN. He has written 10 books to date; one was translated and published into Korean, while another earned critical acclaim from the Channel News Asia of Singapore. As a speaker, he is in demand in seminars all over the country.

Parenting Winners Seminar is brought to CDO by the Cagayan de Oro Association of Private Elementary Schools (CAPES), the Rotary Club of Kalayaan and the Rotary Club of Metro Cagayan de Oro, and the Philippine Society of Anesthesiologists (Northern Mindanao Chapter) in partnership with Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF).
