Getting to know Cagayan de oro’s weather is a must for every immigrant and tourist alike. Cagayan de oro is located outside the typhoon belt but this does not assure you that it is not prone to any climatic catastrophes. The recent tropical storm termed as Sendong is evident of this tragic claim.

Cagayan de oro’s weather is typically known to be fixed upon certain months but usually it does not follow the cycle and more than often is known bring about weather unaccustomed to that certain month.

What does that mean? Cagayan de oro’s weather is at times random due to the tropical climate of the place. The driest month is April yet at times the climate turns cold and rain pours, this is to be expected and one that the locals grew acquainted to.

People of Cagayan de Oro City are known to be warm and friendly. Some people would say that cagay – anons can easily get along with new friends or acquaintances. Cagay- anons are warm people because we love to treasure friendships and relationships.

According to some foreigners who came here just to visit, they’ve experienced the hospitality of the cagay- anons. They feel that they are welcome and they were treated as part of the family. Even if they are from other country with different culture and beliefs but the cagay – anons are flexible enough to mingle with foreigners. That’s the reason why they loved to come here more often. They enjoy the warm climate and the beautiful places that Cagayan de Oro City has to offer.
