Budget Hotels, Pension Houses and Inns in Cagayan de Oro
Budget Hotels and Pension Houses in Cagayan de Oro
Monte Carlo Realty’s D’Budgetel is the first of its kind in Cagayan de Oro City. Situated along Corrales Extension, near Capitol University and behind Maritime course provider Southern Philippines College, it is a two-storey building composed of several rooms that can accommodate 16 to 32 people. Each room is fully air-conditioned and designed much like those tourist cabins on domestic ferries – that is, bunks with numbers/labels on them. The themed hotel makes a guest feel like he is cruising on a ship to somewhere pleasant.
In each D’Budgetel bedding, under its sheets and foam, there are secret compartments where guests can put their personal belongings, such as cameras, cell phones, wallets, mp3 players and the like. There is also a separate locker for those who want to store their larger and heavier belongings, including bags and laptops. The separate lockers are, however, rented.
The hotel’s main lobby also bears resemblance to a bus terminal or airport’s departure/arrival area – it even has a large flat screen television set like the ones that terminals have for people who wait for their time to travel.
The ferry-inspired hotel is actually the initial phase of a project that is going to have seven floors. The building is said to have single and double occupancy rooms, much like the many hotels scattered around the city.
D’Budgetel is perfect for group accommodations – an entire family going on a vacation, people on a field trip or even those on a business trip. In fact, upon the opening of the hotel last 2009, which was just in time for the 93rd Freemasons Annual Convention, the place was already fully booked, despite the ongoing construction of the driveway at that time. After the Freemasons, there were groups from Davao, particularly from the University of Southern Philippines and Ateneo de Davao, who availed of the hotel’s services and facilities during their field trip to the city.
Here are the types of rooms, with their rates, available at D’Budgetel:
•Dormitory Type 250.00
•Standard Single bed 600.00
•Superior Twin/double 900.00
•Dormitory Type rooms 250.00 (per head) and 310.00 (with sheets)
•Additional mattress 190.00
The hotel can be contacted through email, firstname.lastname@example.org, and these numbers: (088) 856-4200, (08822) 726643, 09228662855 and (088) 8564300 (telefax). You may also view their website at http://budgetelcdo.brinkster.net/default.html.

Inns and Pension Houses for CDO Tourists
Sometimes all a traveler wants is a comfortable room with a soft bed and other basic amenities during a short stay or an overnight stopover. Hotels do have excellent accommodations, but if you won’t be able to avail all of the services you have paid for upon checking in, you are better off at a pension house. They have simple yet adequate accommodations and the prices are bound to be cheaper than high-class hotels.
On the other hand, there are also inns that provide the same luxury and services of a five-star hotel.
These two establishments can easily provide for the needs of people with different budgets and accommodation preferences.
