Nazareth Tourist Inn

Tourism and the hospitality industry are some of the biggest employers of Cagayan de Oro City. While so many hotels and resorts exist already, it seems that CDO receives an ever-increasing, ceaseless influx of visitors because more of these accommodation facilities are being constructed.

Soon to rise in the City of Golden Friendship is yet another lodging place. Nazareth Tourist Inn, which is currently under construction, has revised its plans to make room for a major expansion. The original plan was to build a five-storey hotel. Now, it seems demands are expected to skyrocket because they’re going to add one more storey, and an extension is underway.

If you saw the billboard illustration of the original plan, the building could pass for something easily forgettable. The new design looks otherwise, however. With one external wall almost finished, Nazareth Tourist Inn appears to be a visual delight. The orange and blue color combination, which happens to be complementary colors, allows the inn to stand out from the rest of the buildings in the neighborhood.

Constructed at the corner of 21st and 27th streets in Nazareth, the proposed six-storey inn is owned by Engr. Jimmy E. Caiña and his wife. Caiña himself is the construction engineer, while the architect is Christian King A. Maglangit.

When choosing a hotel or any other accommodation, there are always considerations like excellent customer service, 24-hour security, Internet connection and so on. We can’t say what the Nazareth Tourist Inn’s service will be like for now, but hopefully it doesn’t repeat the flaws of existing lodging places in the city. Many guests complain of bad service, unkempt furnishings and insect infestation among others.

Moreover, the upcoming high-rise is sure to give CDO’s tourism industry a further boost. With quality services and facilities, Nazareth Tourist Inn may well become the best lodge in town.
