Launching of CdO's Coffee Table Book Slated Aug. 21
City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano, in cooperation with the Promote CDO Foundation, Inc. is set to launch the Cagayan de Oro Firstbook, a coffee-table book, on August 21, 4:00pm at the Activity Center of the Limketkai Mall.
Mayor Emano said that the Cagayan de Oro Firstbook features the evolution and development of Cagayan de Oro in the past 50 years since it became a chartered city.
The coffee table book, which is a brainchild of the Promote CDO Foundation, Inc., includes economic, political, social, environmental, educational and cultural aspects in the development of Cagayan de Oro.
In each of such major sectors that are showcased in the coffee table book, different personalities, organizations, entities, home-grown talents, and businesses in the city are also featured.
Mayor Emano is optimistic that the Cagayan de Oro Firstbook will boost the city government's promotion of the city as a premier investment and tourism destination in the country.
The city mayor said that the launching of the Cagayan de Oro Firstbook on August 21 is a most appropriate time as the city is in high gears along the celebration of the city fiesta as a global tourism event.
Mayor Emano also lauded the strong support of the Promote CDO Foundation, Inc. headed by its president, Rodolfo L. Meņes for going out if its way to help promote Cagayan de Oro not only in the country but in the different parts of the world. (City Information Office)
