The Sleeping Beauty is an upcoming full-length ballet to be held at the Rodelsa Hall in Cagayan de Oro City on Dec. 14 and 15 with four shows respectively 2:00pm for the matinee and 7:00 pm for the gala. The show to be staged by Grace and Pointes Dance Center is directed by Ann Grace M. Daque and is a joint project with the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), CDO Chapter and WELCOAT , in cooperation with Southland Events, Inc. as the Event Manager.

Grace and Pointes Dance Center and the United Architects of the Philippines, CDO Chapter aims to enrich the growing culture of Cagay-anons by promoting the classics to the community. The arts is a punctuation mark of the community activities. Both organizations believe that the fusion of architectural and theater arts projects is a manifestation of a flourishing community where creative minds meet and develop an atmosphere of literacy .

It is a rare treat for the audiences in Cagayan de Oro to experience this full-length ballet in its entirety for the first time. Grace and Pointes Dance Center with unmatched track record of over 50 ballet performances since 1993, is the first dance school in Mindanao to produce this full length ballet together with its 45 homegrown talents who are also currently enrolled in different schools - Abbas Orchard, Capitol University, City Central School, Corpus Cristi, International School, Kumon , Liceo Grade School, Lourdes Grade School, St. Mary's School and Xavier University (College, High School and Grade School) . Part of its proceeds will go to the deserving scholars of the school.

The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) CDO Chapter is full support to The Sleeping Beauty in doing the stage design of the show. Moreover, Architectural student volunteers have committed themselves to hone their creativity by joining in the painting of these backdrops.
