CDO’s Watever Family KTV Bar & Lokal Grill and Seafoods

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

A handful of enterprising minds from each of the country’s biggest islands have conspired to establish the Lokal Grill and Seafoods and the Watever Family KTV Bar. These establishments are located along Corrales Avenue, the same spot where OIC (Only in Cagayan) once stood.

Despite the fact that they have known each other for less than a year, these young entrepreneurs; namely Jondi Lacson, Daniel Lim, Sherwin Laus, Dennis Mackun, Jefferson Rolida, Jim Anthony Uy, Mandel Anthony Siao, and Miles Anthony Siao; agreed to come up with something they never thought they would.

Apart from managing the newly established Watever Family KTV Bar and the Lokal Grill and Seafoods, each of these young business partners are also busy with their own businesses, which somehow explains why opening up the KTV bar and restaurant was quite easy for them.

According to these young entrepreneurs, they named the KTV Bar after Ogie Alcasid’s famous line in his latest movie with Michael V, “Whatever Yaya, you’re such a loser.” They agreed to name their new business establishment as such after constantly hearing the line from different people.

Having grasped the Kagay-anons love for food and local native dishes, this group of young businessmen decided to complement their KTV bar with the Lokal Grill and Seafoods restaurant. The restaurant serves purely Filipino and local cuisine, just the thing most Kagay-anons and visitors are looking for. Aside from its Filipino themed menu, the Lokal Grill and Seafood also has a Filipino themed ambience. The restaurant likewise allows their customers to get exposed to the “sutukil” experience. This means that the customers are allowed to choose any type of seafood and specify how they want it cooked.

Apart from the food and its relaxing ambience, the Watever KTV Bar and Lokal Grill and Seafood restaurant attract all sorts of people due to its affordable prices. Everyone – from entrepreneurs, to professionals, to students – can have an enjoyable time at the place without going broke.
